Active Ingredient: Isaria fumosorosea Apopka Strain 97
Ancora is a wettable powder insecticide based on a naturally occurring fungus. From a foliar spray Ancora is labeled to control: aphids, leafminers, mealybugs, plant bugs, spider mites, thrips, whiteflies and others. Soil applications can be made drenching, soil surface sprays or soil injection for: beetle grubs, caterpillars and larvae, symphylans (centipedes), rootworms, weevils (including black vine weevil), wireworms and the pupal stage of thrips. Ancora is labeled for ornamentals as well as many herbs, fruits and vegetables grown in containers in greenhouses, shade houses, hydroponics and field-grown nursery stock. The fungus in this product is most effective when applied in a low UV light, 65-85F, high humidity (80%) environment for 8-10 hours to allow for maximum spore germination. Pre-mixing of this product is required to avoid potential clogging issues (See OHP tech bulletin for further instructions). The range of rates is 1 oz per 5 gal or 14-28 oz per 100 gal. For labeled soil pests it can be drenched at the same rates. It must be stored between 40-50F.
